Harry is the main protagonist of the series. He has jet black hair, is skinny, and has green eyes – like his mother – but otherwise, he looks very much like his father James Potter. Harry wears circular glasses and has a lightning bolt scar across his head as a result of the attack of Lord Voldemort when he was just a baby.

He is the child of Lily and James Potter, who were both members of the Order of the Phoenix. However, his parents were both killed when he was just a year old in the same attack that gave him his famous scar. As such, he grew up with his aunt and uncle until he was 11 and was visited by Hagrid, who told him he was a wizard and whisked him off to Hogwarts.

Harry is a talented wizard. He excels in Defense Against the Dark Arts and can produce a fully-fledged Patronus charm by his third year, which is a rare skill. He is a Parselmouth, meaning he can speak to snakes, a skill he picked up from Voldemort himself. He also has a natural affinity for flying, which means he becomes the youngest Gryffindor seeker in a century.
